Perchance by Lila Felix

So, I’ve never actually been a part of a blog tour.  Well, I mean I’ve never hosted a tour stop on a blog tour.  I’m always in awe of bloggers who routinely coordinate guest author posts, character interviews, reviews, giveaways. . . but I’ve never seen myself as an actual blogger.  With that said, Lila Felix is an AMAZING author and I jumped at the chance to be a part of her Perchance tour!

For my stop, I was lucky enough to be selected to write a review of the story; which is awesome because now I get to brag about it to all of you!!

Perchance Synopsis:
Remi Harris has a plan. Graduate high school, go to college, become a history teacher, be self-sufficient unlike her mother who is a struggling single mom. And the word ‘boy’ has no place in her plan.
Cooper Neal has been sent to his estranged father’s house to spend his Senior year getting to know him. And maybe, just maybe, there will be some cute girls in the small town.

Cooper sees Remi and he falls hard. Remi sees Cooper and wonders if she can do both. The question is; will he ruin her plans, or will she let him be a part of them?

My Review:
The beginning of the book, Remi has to go spend her senior year with an aunt after no longer being able to stay with her mother.  She wasn’t a wild child and she didn’t get in trouble, but circumstances beyond her control had her on a bus bound for a distant relative.

I felt for Remi and loved how the story developed.  Remi is a strong protagonist who has her priorities in the right order.  Anyone that knows me, knows I hate it when authors write weak female characters.  Remi stayed true to her convictions throughout the story.  She had decided at an early age to never allow her future to be controlled by anyone else, never would she depend on another to take care of her.

Enter the love interest, Cooper.  Thump, thump. . . thump, thump, Yes that was my heart!  He was incredibly sweet and made me want Remi to set her convictions aside and just go off the deep end for Cooper!
Their story was by no means a fairy tale.  It was a beautifully written love story.  I always gauge a story on physical reactions I have to it.  The end had me crying and throughout there were little things that made me laugh out loud.

I don’t read many books these days that aren’t a part of a series, but if you are looking for a nice easy read, that when you finish it, you say, “Wow, that was a great story!” Perchance is definitely for you!!
HIGHLY Recommend!!!

Perchance is Lila Felix’s second novel.  Her first novel, Emerge, knocked my socks off, too!  You can see a review of Emerge on my blog HERE.

Because after reading Emerge, I was sooooo impressed with Lila, I had asked if it would be okay for me to interview her as well.  She agreed and you can read her interview, HERE.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you’ll get to know Lila Felix.  Here’s all the places to stalk her:
